| Description | As the premier demand response and smart grid event in the US, the National Town Meeting brings together stakeholders from utilities, technology companies, ISOs, Congress, federal and state agencies, environmental groups, and research and consulting firms. At last year's National Town Meeting, nearly 400 members of the demand response and smart grid community gathered for open roundtable discussions on all of the latest business and policy developments and for in-depth presentations on case studies and technology deployments. Close to 50 different utilities and state commissions were represented by at least one attendee and some had multiple participants. Keynote speakers included Congressman Jay Inslee (D-WA), member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee; Jon Wellinghoff, Chairman of FERC; and top executives from Google and Microsoft. |
