Deconstructing Smart Building Software

We’ve all heard about the benefits of "smart building" software -- connecting all of your building systems, deploying fault detection alerts, creating energy dashboards, and knowing when the toaster is on. Smart building software can provide valuable, real-time insights into how your buildings are performing and results in measurable impacts to energy consumption, maintenance costs, and overall business operations.

This presentation will focus on the nuts-and-bolts of implementing a "smart building" program. How do we actually connect to the various building systems, ingest huge amounts of data, and turn it into actionable insights for building engineers and site teams? And most importantly, what does it all cost to implement?

Presenter Bio - Dennis Krieger

Dennis Krieger is a Mechanical Engineer who has devoted his career to making buildings operate better. He’s spent the last 8 years conducting building research, getting dirty in mechanical rooms, managing a bank portfolio with over 7,000 buildings, and most recently deploying smart building software for large real estate companies.
