March 27, 2013, 5:30 - 8:30 PM EST
The Columbia University Club of New York
15 West 43rd Street
(between Fifth and Sixth Avenues)
New York, NY 10036

Topic:
Join the Energy Forum, the Columbia Energy Alumni Network, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and the Consulate General of Canada (New York) for an in-depth and timely discussion of the Canadian energy market, featuring a panel of esteemed economists, reporters, writers, and editors who will share the insights they gained during recent visits to Alberta.

Canadian energy, including Canada’s oil sands, is a critical component of North American energy independence. It provides economic opportunity and contributes to the security of both Canada and the United States, as the two countries continue to pursue innovative solutions to protect the environment and mitigate carbon emissions. Hear from a variety of journalists as they discuss this key political issue, their experiences in Alberta, their coverage of its resources, and what new developments they anticipate in 2013.
