NASEO Financing Committee Call on Inclusive Eco-Financing for Energy Efficiency Upgrades

March 17, 2022, 4:00 - 5:00 PM ET

NASEO’s Financing Committee will host a call discussing the potential for Eco Financing to increase uptake of energy efficiency upgrades in the residential and small business sectors. Residential lending programs have focused on lending for building upgrade projects that involve contractors and are not integrated into consumers’ online research and retail shopping experiences. This webinar will present a new approach to financing 1-off energy-efficiency upgrades as part of normal replacement cycles, which has been launched in California and will soon be piloted in New York. In both cases, State agencies are making Loan Loss Reserves available to meet the needs of underserved borrowers who need to replace appliances and other plug loads that collectively have the greatest impact on electricity bills. The California program will also support electrification and heat pump heating and cooling equipment purchases and installation. Speakers will discuss their states’ Eco Financing programs and their impacts to date and provide ideas on ways State Energy Offices can address financial barriers facing many households. We encourage you to come prepared with questions, thoughts, and comments for speakers.  Please click here to register.  Please send any and all questions and feedback to Sam Cramer at scramer@naseo.org.
