Bios:

Chris Mazzola, President of NEHERS

Chris is the Production Manager at Home Energy Raters, LLC. He oversees five office staff and nine full time certified HERs raters performing utility efficiency program inspections, IECC code compliance, Builder and Municipal Inspector informational sessions. In addition to twelve years of service the military, Chris also has 25 years of experience in logistics and engineering. He started his Building Science career with Building Diagnostics doing primarily weatherization of existing homes and, with time, evolved that into Home Energy Raters. Chris has worked as a residential framer, HVAC installer and Electrician. He is certified with FLIR Infrared and Energy Star Homes.

Cindy Zeis, Vice-President of NEHERS

Cindy Zeis has a diverse background including Energy Efficient Construction, Affordable Housing, Disaster Recovery, Adult Education and is a Military Veteran. Relevant certifications are: Certified HERS Rater, RESNET Quality Assurance Designee, RESNET Instructor, and ACCA Residential System Design. She currently fills the role of Manager of Provider Services and Primary QAD for Performance Systems Development, a national RESNET Rating/Training Provider and Consulting firm. Cindy’s background is backed by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to analyze and improve systems. She’s worked the business end of both the wrench and the hammer and believes that decisions made in the board room are only good if they can be conveyed, understood and safely implemented by those who do the same.
