Luncheon & Tour of the Gaylord Convention Center
RMAEE has arranged a tour for the Gaylord Convention Center by DIA for August 15th.
Join RMAEE for a behind the scenes tour of Colorado's newest resort and conference destination. On Thursday, August 15th we will be touring the Gaylord of the Rockies Resort & Convention Center. Located in Aurora close to Denver International Airport, the Gaylord convention center has 518,000 square feet of convention space and 1,500 guestrooms. Jim Obermaier, Director of Engineering for the Gaylord Rockies, will be our guide to a behind the scenes tour of the facility's Central Plant, Banquet Kitchen, Motel, and Grand Lodge.
Our plan is to first have lunch at at DiCirro’s (67th St and Tower road) and to then car pool over to the Gaylord for the tour. Lunch is scheduled to be served at 11:30 AM. Gaylord charges $8 per car for parking. RMAEE will pay anyone who will take two other people with them $10 to pay for parking and gas. We will hand out the $10 bill to the drivers at the luncheon.
Because of the cost of lunch at DiCirro’s we have to raise our RSVP luncheon fee to $35 for non RMAEE members and $25 for RMAEE members.
As always we will do our best to accommodate walk ins, but the tour size is limited to 40 people so please register on line. To encourage you to RSVP, the walk in luncheon fees will be $40 for nonmembers and $30 for RMAEE members.
