The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), in partnership with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation (JOET), will host an EV Charging Infrastructure meeting for the Northeast Region. This two-day event will be held on December 9-10, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
The purpose of the meeting is to convene State Energy Offices, State Departments of Transportation, and other key partners to facilitate peer exchange and enhance regional coordination on EV charging infrastructure planning. The meeting will allow states to discuss progress on their National EV Infrastructure (NEVI) programs, Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) awards, and other state-funded programs for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty EV charging. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with utilities to get a better sense of regional grid challenges and opportunities for improved coordination on EV charging infrastructure site selection, load requests, and energization; and delve into additional topics such as workforce development to support EV charging installation and maintenance; improving charging reliability and uptime; Level 2 community charging; and additional topics identified by the region.
State Energy Offices and State Departments of Transportation from the following states are invited to attend: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. States are also welcome to attend other NASEO-AASHTO EV regional meetings that best align with their priorities and availability. (Dates and locations for the Western and Midwest/Southeast meetings will be announced this fall).
