Pursuant to the Federal Powers Act, the Office of Electricity released a consultation draft of the 2026 National Transmission Needs Study on Thursday, July 9, 2026. In accordance with federal statute, DOE would like to offer the opportunity for State and Territory Energy Offices to provide direct feedback. During this webinar, DOE will provide a high-level overview of the Needs Study and answer questions. Feedback can be provided during the webinar or sent to needsstudy.comments@hq.doe.gov. Individual meetings with DOE OE program staff can be available upon request. The comment period closes on September 7, 2026.  For additional information, an on-demand webinar is publicly available.
